The Mask Doesn’t Fit Right

The whistling you’re hearing is most likely due to leaking air somewhere along the way between your CPAP machine and your airways. If you already experience additional signs of a leaking mask, such as dry eyes from pressurized air blowing into them, then you’re hearing your CPAP mask whistling from air leaks. 

The solution: If you have a whistling CPAP mask, first try tightening the mask to recreate the seal. You might even need a different size or a different mask altogether. The easiest way to remember when it’s time to change masks is to sign-up for a CPAP subscription service, which delivers new masks on the recommended schedule.

The Hose Isn’t Connected Right

It is entirely possible that the hose simply needs to be reconnected to the machine and/or the mask. The whistling is the sound of leaking air, so once you can stop the leak, you also stop the irritating sound that probably led you to search for this guide.

The solution: Try to disconnect and reconnect the hose at both ends, which may reestablish the seal and eliminate whistling.

The Hose Needs to Be Replaced

Most whistling problems come from the CPAP tubing, as hoses are prone to tiny holes from normal wear and tear. Mineral deposits, extra moisture and daily use all contribute to the breakdown of CPAP hoses, which is why they need to be replaced on a set schedule. To determine if you hose has holes in it, fill it with water and plug both ends. Water will leak from the holes, if there are any.

The solution: It’s time to replace the hose, which is especially recommended if you’ve been using it longer than your doctor instructed.

The CPAP Machine Is too Loud

It might be because of a high setting or the model of your CPAP machine, but the machine itself could be the source of the whistling. It is imperative that you get restful sleep to alleviate the symptoms of sleep apnea, but this may not be possible if your machine is too loud.

The solution: There are several CPAP machines on the market, so you can find one that is quieter. It is always a worthwhile investment if it will help you sleep, and—if applicable—your partner will reap the benefits of peace and quiet as well.

We charge you a small monthly free and deliver a fresh CPAP mask, tubes, filters and cushions to your door every 3 months.

We work with the major manufacturers to provide a selection of the most popular CPAP masks, cushions, tubing, filters and other accessories.

You get one shipment with all the CPAP supplies you’ll need for the next three months and you just pay one low, monthly payment.

Monthly CPAP Club lets you know when it’s time to change your filters, clean your mask and tubing. Three months after your first order, we’ll let you know (via email) that it’s time to replace your CPAP supplies, and we will ship out a package with a replacement mask, tubing, and filters for your CPAP machine, all including in your monthly fee.

Every package allows you to choose your preferred style of CPAP mask and the brand, make and model you prefer. You have the choice of standard tubing or heated tubing. You have the option for extended tubing options with heated tubing. Every package also includes cushions for the mask and filters for your machine

We need to know which CPAP breathing machine you use so we can send you the correct filters. Filters are specific to machines.

The next scheduled shipment for your account will commence 3 months after your initial first shipment. We’ll send you an email your next delivery is on the way.
